Stretching Before Class

A compilation of stretching techniques that students should practice before each class.

Class Warmups

Wrist, elbow and shoulders, neck, waist twist, front-to-back-, knee exercises

Choon Bee

Feet are parallel and shoulder width apart.  Student should inhale pulling fists in and exhale when punching hands downward

Front Stance

Feet are shoulder width apart.  Both feet point forward.  Front knee is bent 90 degree and back knee is straight

Fighting Stance

Fists come to the side that steps back.  Back foot should face outward to the side.  Front foot faces foward.  Both knees are bent with 90% of body weight on the back foot.

Horse Riding Stance

Hands crossed in front of chest before stepping back.  Feet are parallel with both knees bent.  Foot distance should be less 2 widths of the student
